Real Moments

REAL MOMENTS It was my birthday yesterday, songs of praises filled my heart and I feel nothing but gratitude mixed with pain. I thought of the days of humble beginnings, uncertain dreams and fears for the future. I reminiscence on my childhood days, the innocence, the daring moments, friends, childhood curiosity and the blessings of multitude of siblings. We cheered, we fought, agreed and disagreed. Above all we formed a company of defending champions and supporting when necessary. I thought of many folks out there saddled with the weight of how to make their dreams come through despite all odds. This is for the boy, girl, teenager, youth, man and woman who carry in them an enviable destiny waiting for their time in the time of life to manifest. Keep up doing the work, follow your passion, labour for what you believe in your best days are here to stay. The miracles we often seek; are most times a few steps away from us. Just because we have waited for it for so long a time makes it look as though we need to travel far or exact ourselves to obtain it. In your troubled days; force joy, embrace gratitude at least for the gift of life. You sure can’t buy that off the stall. Remind yourself that this too will pass and your miracles will over turn your miseries. Your set day will over shadow your gloomy days. You are steps away from your best days. Keep your track on the path.

Finding Closure

Finding Closure Our lives are often a potpourri of events and circumstances that shape us—defining who we are and who we are becoming. Many spend years trying to find closure from an event—or series of events—that altered their very existence. From the chaotic memories of a once "happily ever after" to the longing for a true soulmate, we all carry stories waiting to be laid to rest. It could be the slow fading of a once tightly-knit relationship, the sting of unexpected loneliness, or the crushing weight of a loved one’s passing. It may be the pain of fruitless efforts despite tireless labour, or a medical condition that rewrote every part of your world. There’s the journey of losing and regaining faith—the wilderness moments. The people we left behind, the ones who left us. The doors we closed, those shut against us, and those that never opened. The pleasant. The unpleasant. The failures that pushed us forward, and those that knocked us backward—leaving us feeling like we’r...

The Journey of Becoming: Embracing Every Moment

There is always more to what we will BECOME—the dreams in our hearts, the pain in our chests. The highs and lows. The fleeting thoughts. The disappointing and embarrassing moments. The truths we told. The parts of us that stayed hidden. The stories we shared, the ones we are proud of, and the ones we left untold. The families that shaped us—our hopes, challenges, and desperations. Our nationalities, race, and identities. The clear paths and the undefined. The special moments. The grey days and the ones spent lingering in bed. The days we couldn’t see ourselves for what we could be. The defeating, deafening silence from those we once called friends. The lies we told ourselves about who we really are. The starting over days. The years we lost. The feigned laughter, the genuine one, the fights and quarrels with self and society. The hate, envy, and pretense from others. The ones that kept us going and the ones that brought us down. The moments that hit us where it truly matters. The love,...
