Angels of Consolation

The sun smiled with all its strength oblivious of the worries of tomorrow. The rain wet the earth until the earth knew what it meant to have a thorough bath.

Jake cried out of his mother's womb into a world of uncertainty, unpredictable outcome of happiness, joy, sorrow and laughter oblivious of the end of the beginning.

Betty had her first long kiss with Benny, welcoming the fears and joys of matrimony.

Patty made a first class degree in the university, happy to make a transit into the larger world; where common sense and graces rule not degree.

Today is Patrick's ordination as the Bishop of World Class Christian Assembly; the DEVIL isn't smiling so GOD deployed His angels.

Today, my friend told me about 'They', in his words ‘they say I'm doing fine'. When I asked, who are they? He said ' they' are Angels of Consolation.

One believes in the goodness of the present another in the goodness of both the present and the future and both work towards it at different level of time.

Either way they are right. It is either you crave for momentary pleasure or lasting pleasure which are both necessary part of living.

Whatever maybe your  outcome of the above realities. What will suffice is taking and living life one day at a time. A step at a time and everything good will surely come.

It could be the slow fading of a once tightly-knit relationship, the sting of unexpected loneliness, or the crushing weight of a loved one’s passing. It may be the pain of fruitless efforts despite tireless labour, or a medical condition that rewrote every part of your world. There’s the journey of losing and regaining faith—the wilderness moments. The people we left behind, the ones who left us. The doors we closed, those shut against us, and those that never opened. The pleasant. The unpleasant. The failures that pushed us forward, and those that knocked us backward—leaving us feeling like we’r...
BEAUTY FOR ASHES Sometimes in life we count our losses at other times we count our gains and more times than often we’re grateful for our losses, because it was necessary for the present success. Sometimes our pains seem to overwhelm our joys, we feel we’ll not live to see another day, we pray fervently that the day wrap us away along with all our troubles. Thank God not all wish come through, with the speed of light the new day comes with an air of freshness, a relief, all of yesterday’s puzzle are solved just by the arrival of a new friend, a phone call, a knock on the door or through an inspiring daily devotional that we struggle to read at first only to discover that it was specially meant for us to set us on the path for the day, strong enough to bear us wings to fly to the next phase of our life. Most times our pains work out the best, brings out the best in us. Expose our hidden talents, it tells us the more we can do, that we don’t know. Also our disappointment works out the m...
